2018 Fast Pitch Grant Recipients


Boys & girls club of greater dallas

Boys & Girls Club of Greater Dallas was seeking a grant to support their “Triple Play” program, which takes a holistic approach to educating boys and girls about good nutrition, making physical fitness a daily practice and developing individual strengths and good character.


dallas children’s advocacy center (DCAC)

DCAC’s pitch centered around the impact that the organization is able to make in the life of an abused child with only two minutes of time. DCAC was one of the first children’s advocacy centers to be established in Texas and today serves more than 6,500 children each year.


Dallas police youth foundation, inc.

Dallas Police Youth Foundation pitched about the boxing program they have with local Dallas youth that teaches healthy living, fitness, and mental coping skills.

Dallas Tennis Association presented about their tennis programs for special needs kids and the power that the sport has to transcend limitations. The organization reaches approximately 25,000 Dallas children through their Dallas Tennis and Education Academy.


special olympics texas, inc.

Special Olympics Texas told us about their athletes, how they create opportunities for special needs kids and adults through sports, and their Unified Schools program, where athletes from local schools can compete alongside Special Olympics athletes to improve physical fitness, sharpen skills, and have fun.


vogel alcove

Vogel Alcove was seeking a grant to support the swimming program they have for homeless kids in Dallas, in partnership with the Dallas Jewish Coalition, and educated the audience on how it helps to prevent drowning deaths.
